Civil War Trilogy           by J. Howe/D. Emmett

A combination of 3 Civil War Songs, Battle Hymn of the Republic, Dixie, and Taps.   I did not sing all the versus to any of the three songs.
Many folks don't realize Taps has words, but there are three versus to the song.  I sing only one to conclude this trilogy.  Visit the John
Brown Museum in Osawatamie, or the Kansas Historical museum in Topeka, to learn more of the Civil War in Kansas.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord

He is tramplin out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored

He has loosed the mighty lightnin of his terrible swift sword

His truth is marching on

In Dixie land where I was born in early on one frosty mornin'
Look away look away look away Dixie Land
Oh I wish I were in Dixie Away, Away
In Dixie Land I'll take my stand to live and die in Dixie

Glory glory halleluyah, glory, glory halleluah, glory, glory hallelugh,

His truth is marching on

Day is done - gone the sun  from the lakes from the hills from the sky
All is well -- safely rest,-- God is nigh.
